“Healer. That’s the reason.”
“You want to play [TheGame] so that you can die every 20 seconds?”
“Healers heal themselves.”
…
“You’re terrible at Tanking – never Tank again.”
“I’m trying understand what it feels like to be a tank and face my fears… and I faced them. Maybe you’re right, I’ll stick to Healer.”
…
“How do you do it?”
“Do what?”
“How do you keep everyone alive? I switched my job class to Healer and entered a low level dungeon — I was in the dungeon in like 4 seconds and then got kicked after 3 minutes. Tank died twice, I kept pulling aggro for some reason. How do you make it look so easy?”
“It’s not easy. It’s a shitload of multitasking. You keep everyone alive by keeping Yourself alive while supporting and protecting the other players on different consoles, flailing around the screen” (pointing at you, DPS).
She shifted.
“If you focus on everyone else and stretch yourself too thin, you become the target. The Tank’s life is also important. Focus on those two and your green. The DPS can handle a smack or two.. or three sometimes. But as Healer, you need to Heal yourself first.”
“Deep. I think I’ll stick to my Tank life of running up and being the punching bag… with a side of aggro button mashing. I get the concept of Healer, I just don’t get why anyone would want to do it as a main.”
“Somebody has to, it’s part of [TheGame].”
The two demons – wait what? These are demons? Are these not regular humans?
*Ahem*
The two demons continued their philosophical conversation across time whilst traversing dungeons and looting for various unnecessary treasures to be sold in a marketplace, a marketplace undercut by so many, and overcut by so few (also, many).
What? You want me to continue? I’m really looking to get a cookie here, you know… I found the record, provided the excerpt and am getting pretty tired of me doing the worky and not getting the SNACKY!
Ugh, fine.
THE TWO DEMONS finished their philosophical conversation and decided to meet up to go gaze at the Lava Lakes of Shiny Rocks. It was a nice red day, so the Lava Lakes really had a nice look to it. Nice.
Demon One was – No? I have to name the Demons? Fine.
Sebastian stretched his wings out. Mia did the same. But Mia only had one wing to stretch. The other wing was just bone with other bone coming out. Sebastian saw this and quickly covered her bone wing with his powerful golden touch – and her bone wing became pure silver light.
Sebastian DID NOT expect THAT and jumped back.
THAT has never happened before.
Wait, where is Mia? Sebastian looked around. Mia is nowhere to be found.
“Mia?”
“Looks like Sebas made a huge mistake.”
A figure off to the side spoke up to say this, and then vanished – but then came back.
“Who are you? Why so cryptic?”
“Cryptic my ass. My food delivery was at the door, I had to go grab it an then come back. Tacos, man.”
A whisper in fear…
“Sebastian!”
